I was a fan of the Lunar series but havent played any of the other games yet. Star Ocean was a lot of fun although I never did get too far in that game. Has anyone played the Final Fantasy on the ps3? I was thinking about getting it for shits and giggles.

I won't. FF7 was overrated. It was good, but not the "end all, be all" whatever people seem to think it was.

Fine, second worse to 10-2 then (which I've still never played).

I think most in the series pre-psx were better than 7, and 9 was the best on the system, but to think 8, 10, 12, 13, etc were better is duuuuumb.

I enjoyed FFX, wasn't anything groundbreaking but still a good game.

i don't think 13 is better either.

8, 10, 12 yeah.

10-2 was horrible, and 13 wasn't much better. FF crystal chronicles wasn't that great either.

I'm not saying it was leaps and bounds below those, i just don't think it's better.

and are going off that, but it was mostly just a troll to get more posts due to RnF being slow.

10-2 was just right off hand bad enough i couldn't even troll to say it was > ff7 lol.

Out of all the FF games 5 is my favorite and 6 would be next inline. I had to play 5 on a snes emulator and it was a translation of the old jap version. I think they rereleased it not to long ago too, not sure how many have actually played it tho.

That's crazy talk. The "anyone can be anything" party system allows you to replay with different class combinations or even put self-imposed restrictions on yourself (like the solo challenge, the pure class challenges, etc.). Even FF7 has more strict class structure than FFT. Yes, FFT may not have all of the extra side stuff to do of some of the other Final Fantasies, but its a great plot and the class system adds an amazing amount of replay value.
