I guess to me racial intolerance is actually going out and making a change in an effort to hurt a specific race. Imo words are incapable of doing that, some individuals might let words work to this affect, but im not one of them.

Burning down a predominately hispanic catholic church = racial intolerance

Hey (insert random racial slang here) = just words, and words can either be taken with a grain of salt or taken to heart. Both of which are completely up to the person who hears them.

Just my opinion.
