Item loot is like the trickle down economics of EQ. IF THOSE WITH POWER TAKE EVERYTHING THEY CAN IT WILL SOMEHOW TRICKLE DOWN TO THE LITTLE GUY.

Funny thing is, people blame certain sectors when they (abusers) are all just taking advantage of the government system. This includes both the rich corporations and the poor. Government keeps handing it out, they keep taking. Social programs are absolutely necessary, as well as tax breaks and incentives...but none of it is monitored like it should be.
Meanwhile it's the shrinking middle class that's stuck with the tab. Don't blame people. Blame government. American Spring...it will come. It may not be as violent as the Arab Spring, but the hammer will fall someday.
