I used to do competitive Kendo fighting. One time I was practicing with a friend in my back yard and ended up breaking my thumb. I made the mistake of honestly explaining to the people my job why my thumb was broken. All they heard was "sword fighting in the back yard" and I was forever labeled a LARPer at that job. Not cool
