Spells: lvl 49 shaman pet bug

It's odd that the L49 pet doesn't have that ability. What about the L55 one?

I remember shamans on the Crucible talking some nonsense about "project alpha" whenever they wanted to mention the pets dual-wielding/quad; I guess they always thought it would someday get fixed/nerfed.

I know that the 55 and 61 (or 62? I can't remember the spell level) pets all could dual-wield and accept items. My pets always had mage summoned gear.

Looks like they added a patch later that made it so weapons weren't required for dual wielding but I can't find anything that suggests that the Level 49 pet shouldn't dual wield.
