If your doing serious riding tho, like where you will be melting the sides off your tires, there is a motto "Dont dress for the ride, dress for the crash".
Skid jackets tend to fly apart 55mph+. Get a quality harley leather. Always wear some nice boots, I use military jump boots. Gloves are a must, even if its hot (if your riding hard), as fingers and toes are the easiest things for the pavement to grind off your body.
