It makes sense IMO. It is basically a droppable Baton of Flame. Salindrite dagger has 1 more delay, but the proc does a lot more damage, plus it has a mini stun I think. So it should be able to interrupt spells.

I do understand the point that a lot of people prefer 2h weapons for DPS, or Silver Whip of Rage for survival. But Salindrite Dagger actually has top tier stats for a 1h weapon.
