Not to say the lost lvls and lost plat won't hurt...But...for example..take a certain monk who was known to farm fungi tunics.

All he has to do is sell a few items he got while hacking and he is right back up to speed money wise.

Not everyone keeps their currency liquid. If I had gotten hit with this disciplinary action I would have lost maybe 1/20th of my wealth...not much of a setback.

However, getting rolled back to kunark launch will:

A. Suck ass for them

B. Remove money and items accrued while hacking (If they were doing it since kunark launch they were doing it before as well but there has to be a cutoff and the Devs don't want to permaban the accounts which I can understand to a certain point)

C. Benefits those of us who were not hacking by removing their items from the game making the ones gained legitimately more valuable.

D. Makes them have to regrind keys, lvls, factions etc - As is its a 3 week setback for hardcore players and a slap on the wrist money wise (someone said the plat avg was 8k per account?)

Just seems the item penalty falls short. What if I had gotten caught hacking...but a week prior to the ban wave I was lucky enough to have invested 2-3million plat into a fungi staff? Crap I lost lvls...but I still got my staff bought with dirty plat.

Anyways..I doubt they will change it but food for thought. Either way well done Devs.
