I'm just trying to sniff out the folks that are classic die-hards and are constantly opening bug forums here to make things "more classic" but will happily jump ship to EQL because what they really want is what you described.

I think it is fine to want/play both. P99 is one of the only MMO's that is still playable without the various QoL changes, like instancing.

When you want the non-instanced experience, play P99. When you just want a quick EQ fix, play EQL, Live, or the TLP's.

I am not saying this is your view, but I never understood why some people want P99 to become just another instanced server with QoL changes. There are plenty of options for that kind of game on the market already. Let P99 be the one place that caters to the classic crowd.
