EVERYZONE UPDATE! Ding 50.5! Kedge Keep Done! Faydwer Done!

Finally finished Faydwer. Kedge Keep is an awesome zone, and I am sad to leave it. I think it is one of the prettiest zones in the game and one that rewards people who take the time to learn it. I spent some of my time crawling with Venusinfurs (57 Cleric) and using Shellara as a pet, but the rest was spent soloing the Temple.

My tips if you want to get good at Kedge:

1. Learn the zone. There are pitfalls on every corner. This zone more than any in the game, even POM, requires understanding. Learn where the little fish path. Learn where mobs hide. Learn the mechanics of water fighting.
2. The little fish: They are assholes that are there to fuck you up. They are low level, but they hate it when you sit. If you plan on fighting in a room with these guys, clear em first if you can. They also explode when they die.
3. Cornering: It is super important to wedge yourself in a corner when you fight here. Interrupt mechanics in the water make not cornering super dangerous.
4. Z axis: With pretty much every zone in the game, Z-Axis isn't super important. In Kedge, up and down is just as important as every other direction. Be careful of what is above you and below you. AOEs will hit stuff you don't see. Mobs will hit you from all the way down water shafts.
5. Binding: Don't bind in the water. Just don't do it. I bind by the crevasse between BBM and Dagnor's.

I really enjoy Kedge Keep too. It's a challenging zone and you have to take the time to learn the quirks, as you said, but once you know it well it's very satisfying. I bound in the water just outside Kedge, but I rather enjoyed knowing I was always an AFK death away from having to re-level. When I used a safer bind point I like the top of the column just above the entrance on the shoreline. After gating out if you run straight off it you'll hit the water but there's a moment of exhilaration where it feels like you'll hit land and take falling damage.

EVERYZONE UPDATE! DING 52! LOWER GUK DONE! ANTONICA DONE!

I finished my final Antonican zone, deep under the Innothule Swamp in the undead halls of Lower Guk. I crawled back and forth between Frenzy and the Ghoul Lord. I failed 3 times, but eventually, with the help of an enchanter named Zimsalabim, we finally killed the Ghoul Lord himself. Two -10 MR rings and a Skull Shaped Barbute later, I was finally 52.

Antonica and all Oceans are finished now.

Next Zone: Skyfire Mountains
