Try re-installing Everquest anywhere but the Program Files folder. When you re-install, try installing to c:\games instead. What happens is that Windows permissions stop you from overwriting files in the Program Files folder - so you can't make the correct changes to play on Project 1999.

If your confident in changing shortcuts you can just move (not copy) the EverQuest folder from the Program Files\Sony\blah blah folder to your root (c or d drive) and change the desktop shortcut to match.

Edit: Also, I'm assuming you are actually unzipping the zip files before putting them in the EQ folder right? (Your picture points to an EQChanges.zip file above the Doug model)

yea i unzip them and move them over all files where change and its installed on a harddrive used for games and music
