New Account Verification Email Not Showing Up

I ran into something very similar when setting up an account recently. What worked for me was going into Edit Email/Password, changing the email to a different address, saving it, and then switching it back to the original email. As soon as I did that, the verification email finally came through and I could finish the setup.
