The fact is people got off light here. Your items weren't even deleted - the ones you got easier than everyone playing the game the real way. Your account isn't getting banned.

If anything, I would expect these players to be grateful that they're being let off so easy.

Hacking has been an absolute cancer to EQ since its inception - on live, and on emulated servers. Any steps taken to eliminate it should be applauded.
