I remember seeing a video of a guy abusing this bug to have a practically invincible charm pet and killing a buttload of mobs with it.
This bug also occurred during the giant Froglok boss GM event that they did in DN after we killed Jaled Dar's Shade, he would heal 25% of his HP every time an enchanter's phase spider charm pet procced shadow step on him. Apparently what's causing this is that when a mob is teleported out of bounds by a shadow step it will instantly teleport them back to where they were and heal them by 25% of their max HP.
