Nah not good riddance.

A chance to hand over the keys to DBG and a salary.

That would have been better for everyone.
To be fair, I dont believe DBG are even interested in improving EQ in any way at all. Except to please the transactional board members (who are prolly uninterested in EQ specifically and games in general) so a salaried position was probably not even on the table.

They just wanted to assert their lawful rights as the IP holders. They dont really care about the game as we do.

One YT video i saw jad the guy say DBG could have used the THJ experience as free market research but instead just ignored it and litigated.
A win in front of the board is superior to pleasing us.

well im not trying to figut with you but they did make a lot of money with mishife and and that started a new run of a bunch of highly populated and fun TLPs

Fanbreaker they marketed heavily at the peak of THJ gaining popularity, and they really thought it was going to do well, It didn't. And that's when the lawsuit happened.

And in the lawsuit they blame fang breakers low numbers on THJ.

So they do care, they do want to release fun new servers and do regularly, and will probably do a THJ server in like a year.

THJ (im assuming you played there) had so much unique balancing that they would never get right or understand even.

There was something really magical about (not aporia, the other onei forget his name) just had a full understanding of the "eq feel" that only a few out of 100 eq players really gives a shit about.
