Fungi tunic scam, someone got me with it (which is how I learned about it) and then I did it to a bunch of people.

Auction to sell your Fungi Tunic at a realistic but slightly below market price to get solid demand and eager buyers. Put your fungi tunic in the window, they put their plat in the window, wait til they confirm the trade. Then hit cancel instead of trade, act like it was an accident.

Open a new trade window, usually let them do it so the money goes in first. Toss a cloth tunic in there. Hit trade, they already confirmed it was a fungi tunic the first time so they hit trade and give you ~40k for a cloth tunic. Immediately log off to avoid conflict.

Think I did it 4-5 times successfully. Back on live staff was spread thin and slow to react so if someone petitioned it would just get lost in the queue and by the time they got to it you weren't online, then it went back to the back of the queue and forgotten about as more new petitions came in.

Eventually I got too bold and stopped logging off and a GM caught me online during a short queue. I ate a couple of days of ban and lost the plat from 1 transaction. I think I stopped after that because I shared an account with my brothers and they were pretty annoyed at the ban, didn't want to get a permanent one that lost their characters.
