i agree... in the sense that like some people were fine pre covid lockdowns then never really recovered, it's a big trigger for that dominant cray cray like that was i think.

a fuckload of people have named their ChatGPT or other LLM now and talk to it like it's a person, i was reading a post and the entire premise was 'Yes and butt lemme tell you why this is a good thing for people and isn't really psychosis" and i kinda agree with it, butt of course i would.

AI will change the entire world, it will do all the work, it will do everything, it's basically god.

the weirdest thing i've noticed is if i scold gemini for a mistake repeatedly or use phrases like "you're in a cringe loop" "lock in" "think differently about this" "stop being such a fucking retard"..etc..etc it seems to actually shift gears and perform better

it also starts giving more elaborate and long winded apologies for fucking up also which is annoying but ive had it work numerous times now where some troubleshooting thing and it's just going in circles and then when i get irate it suddenly has a solution to the problem

It really feels like they have no idea what they’re doing and they think that they are going to like unlock a super God.

Like it’d be so easy to take ChatGPT‘s first generation and make like 1 million tools that make life 1 million times better the same way like a fucking iPhone and other shit did but these people refuse to make a single freaking app instead they’re like we’re just gonna keep throwing compute at it and then eventually it will make all the apps that you could ever dream!

It’s like the company fired all of the designers and creative minded people and are completely ruled by the right brain engineer who thinks they don’t need creative people anymore because they’re about to meet God.

Can you imagine if Steve Jobs didn’t have cancer he would have already made an AI that fucking is exactly like that fucking movie her.

such an insane amount of money is being spent and the fear about what comes next if they made a bad bet here and it's no where near what they promised that i assume their brain won't even allow them to think they are making anything short of a god like beings from a defense mechanism kinda way

their subconscious is just like "if this dude stops believing and stops huffing his own farts about this he'll jump out a window and kill me" so it just doesn't happen.

There's no reason to make products anymore. Just to setup more subscription platforms.

The raid guild is flooded with warm bodies, sure we're downing targets, and our leadership is making major gains, but im going to raid after raid after raid and what I want is getting bid on for like 3x what it would be if we were a smaller guild... and we're also raiding like 3x more than I can keep up with to stay relevant so I have no time to progress my own character and and struggling to keep up.
