Depends, but I mostly agree. And like you, I blame YouTube, well that and unlimited data. Before I had unlimited data plan, I was spending far less time watching videos online

But part of my ADD is by design, because I’m getting sick of content creators making long rambling 30+ minute videos in order to get themselves more favorable in the algorithm or into some better ad category or something. I’m taking about videos with a few bullet points of information that could have been succinctly covered in 5 minutes, but the creator has to go on the tangential diatribes or throw in a bunch of jokes or skits or anecdotes to try to push it many times longer

So lately I’ll watch a vid for like 40 seconds to a minute, say to myself “ok I got the gist of this” and skip to another one. Or I’ll skip around the video quickly then skip to a different video

But in other aspects of life I can dial in. Like working out I don’t start to really space out until 1.5 hours in. And cleaning which I’ve been doing a lot lately to girl-proof my house again, I can dial in on that AND listen to a 2 hour video or podcast while cleaning no problem

But yes on the internet OR with video games I have bad ADD
