of the AI type people he's pretty grounded, i like him cause he proved a LLM trained on 4chan posts is the most truthful than a LLM trained on Reddit

i'm bias cause i think AGI is nothing but hype also though

Yeah my Turing test is pretty simple. If you can't say, "make me a whole movie" then we don't have AGI.

Like imo with AI i see them making better calculators, but not better managers.

AGI will have to manage itself better than a human would. It has to be able to just do the job of a director, and identify problems on its own, and fix them. Without that it's useless as a calculator.

They seem to just be making more and more powerful calculators, and thinking that will just create a better manager.

But it never showed any sign of that. I think its based off the same belief AI was built out of: humans wont make AI, machine learning will.

They think, if we keep dumping shit into this furnace, it will eventually invent AGI.

They have no idea what AGI is.
