Sadly, the way they're handling it right now is probably the way they're harassed the least. Imagine making a roadmap and not making the deadlines, people would go mental.
It also probably implies guilt to cease operations, from the perspective of a slimy (read:any) lawyer

As a lawyer, I wouldn't say it implies guilt to cease operations. What I would tell them is you don't have to cease operations unless Daybreak files and injunction and a court rules on it. Granted, it might be in your interest to cease operations regardless; a court might look kindly on that and if Daybreak is suing for speculative and/or punitive damages you may be only making those damages worse by continuing to operate...but there's nothing legally that says you have to stop unless there's an injunction.
