There’s literally zero resemblance to live raiding here, due to the headaches it’s caused for years for players and staff, so we’ve already crossed that Rubicon. Fix account sharing and suddenly your raid drama workload is magnitudes lighter.

I don't see how you would prove account sharing though. I don't like it either, but seems like the only way to prevent it is to say you have to log in from the same IP every single time. Which either means people can't play P99 unless they're on the first IP that ever logged into the account, or they just get a VPN that provides a static IP and give it out to everyone.

How? Because of machine ID? You can spoof machine ID too, just like you can change your IP with a VPN

psychology, how are you going to convince warm bodies to use VPNs and break the server rules

people already don't wanna do that shit but have to because it's the culture, so having cover is all they need for the problem to be sorted, and you get the bonus of not being caught up in a ban dragnet everytime they bother to fight RMT and you logged into the same mule, tracker, rogue as the dude rmting

I think you my be a little new here (I don't say that disparagingly, welcome!)...the people who raid for pixels nonstop for years in the top raid guild would absolutely use VPNs and other methods and break server rules. They would have zero issue doing this if it meant they could utilize bots and get the vast majority of the targets/drops.

apparently you're new, i was in TMO and Forsaken and Aftermath and raided on blue for like 15 years, 10 people do 90% of the work in a raid, making VPNs ban-able means the people that login and afk at Seb when trak spawns because if they don't they fell behind the dkp pyramid scheme wouldn't roll out of bed at the batphone because their actual competition the 90% of warm bodies won't either.

the term warm body exists for a reason

if you have any other questions about p99 and how it works lemme know

What if like, machine ID spoofing was against the rules too?

Are we trying to protect our Iranian players?

If someone on the other side of the country or internationally logs your account in before you could reasonably travel there I'd assume that's evidence enough.

"oh but my brother..." sure sure
