They were different potions, but I remember rolling a Berserker roughly during Omens of War period. I didn't bother with gear at all, I just got a bunch of heal and DS potions and hurtled my way to 50. The early iteration of the epic and 1.5 were crazy good iirc too.

Whats the stacking on DS pots here?

In short:
Sol A Lava Potion = low level mage DS, same as Druid / ranger, also Chardok ring
Sham potion = same slot as Ring 8/9/10 (also same slot as Call of Earth)

Outside Tunare belt and Nev cloak that’s about the extent of it. Chardok ring I guess actually lasts a long time, not just like 12 mins. It’s a big upgrade from Ragefire arms as is the shaman potion from the coldain ring (especially Blistering Flesh).
