It's a question of who pays for it. Other people shouldn't pay for your rice crispie treats. They aren't outlawing junk food.

The bigger problem here (pun intended) is the shit that's allowed to go into your food in the first place versus Europe/rest of the world.

Yeah the discrepancy between US and EU policy on a variety of topics should raise way more eyebrows than it seems to.
At the same time I do fear that "maha" is straying dangerously close to cat lady healing crystal bullshit, and unscrupulous actors smell it a mile away. Like I love you megyn kelly, you are impossibly hot for a 50 something, but please don't take that bait.

Person buying them (with food stamps) still ends up just as fat and diabetic. So what did the ban accomplish? It wasn’t even an inconvenience to switch Now if they banned all candy, ice cream, chips, baked goods, sports drinks, soda, AND juice, all at once. Well now the average fat person on food stamps might go “uh oh, what can I snack on now?” and it might actually become a problem for their bad habit But just a ban on soda and candy alone seems like a literal waste of time to me. It’s like banning one flavor of ice cream, or just banning Kit Kat bars. It was a waste of of the paper to print it, and a waste of time to read it. It will accomplish nothing
