I'd rather not add another level of difficulty. I will usually be miles away at another house. The ideal way is to just let her play on a different login, which actually even on hotspot would be necessary, because you can't play 2 chars at once from the same login account. My understanding is hotspot is like a way to connect via a local wifi network. What I want to do is have her have a unique account with her own characters that I can play with from my own unique account. My only question is do I need to have a completely different Emulator account, or can I use alternate usernames from my 1 emulator account. Currently I have 3, although I cannot remember why. I think it took me a while to figure it out, and I made several logins until I worked out that the problem was with the file patching. I was hoping I could use one of these alternate logins for my grandaughters unique Game Account. Is there an actual P99 GM or something to answer this?

Horrible advice, this is a great example of what not to do.

There is a petition section in the forums you can use to request an IP Exemption. Below is copy/paste instructions from that section:

IP Exemption: This is for requesting to be exempt from the limit of 1 connection per IP Address. You may request exemption if you have more than 1 real person playing from the same IP. When posting for this, please include the account names of every person that will be playing from the same IP, as well as the identities (real first names) / relations to those players, and please make sure that at least one character has been created under each account. Please verify the spelling of each account you specify. This format works best: Real first name - Relationship - Loginserver Account Name
If you fail to provide us the format we have requested it will delay your request.
If you have requested an IP Exemption in the past please provide those accounts too.
This will fix the "Temporary IP ban" error.

As far as your resolution, you already know about chatfontsize so the only other solution I have is adjusting the resolution. I use WinEQ to play in windowed mode and have since install. Not sure if changing the resolution in game would be an issue in full screen with a mismatch against your monitor but in windowed mode the only thing it really does is change the sizes of your boxes and fonts.

Thanks, I will look for that section. and regarding the resolution, I messed around with it today, and decided that the ingame video resolution settings and tweaks like the /chatfontsize command will solve the problem. It's not as bad once I scaled it just a bit more than I had it. My eyes are getting older. Thanks for the reply. Databyter
