Set of banded is very fine AC for the first 20+ levels and costs nary 100pp.

Gold, platinum and velium fire wedding rings also are very nice and suit various price points.

For weapons this server is spoiled - it is easy to find a 1:2 dmg delay weapon (or better) for 100pp or less. The meme choice, accordingly tad more expensive, is the poison wind censer.

Only pick up your key spells which you’ll use plenty without replacing. Something like snakeskin is more trouble than it is worth!

If you need something even more basic, look up bristlesilk, scaled curskin, padded, reinforced rhinohide and burynai hide. You’ll have access to these early levelling up in field of bone and kurn’s tower.

Forest hammer commonly rots in warslik’s wood.

Iksar berserker club is a decent weapon for a starter in kurn’s tower.
