Other than the common comparisons in play style, one big differentiating factor for me will be the ability to safely check out when an interruption occurs. I know Necro can do this very easily with feign death, Do shamans have a good option for hiding while soloing?

You can invis but it can fade early.

If you go with shaman, best bet is to bind somewhere you can gate to thats totally safe but close by where you're hunting. When in doubt, gate out and start over again!
