Although i suspect its the abomination created by greedy preachers that perpetuate the constant need for humans to seek redemption. Surely a clean living human need not fear the righteous wrath of god even if they dont frequent the mass/service.
I of course could be wrong and he is in fact a spitefull and vengefull bastard full of hate.
