I had this issue as well but I can't remember how I fixed it. I don't see anything in eqclient.ini that should affect it.

Can you verify that the dimensions of the loadscreen picture is 640x480?

That was it! The dimensions were off a bit. Resized it to 640 x 480 and it magically works again. Thanks so much for your reply, McBard.
