Delay back then worked just by checking the delay of the weapon you were currently holding against the time from your last swing. sometime later (post velious? not sure) it was patched so that the delay worked more like a "count down timer" till you were able to try and swing again, regardless of the delay of the weapon you were currently trying to swing (which effectively stopped ppl from switching out their weapon, because even with the new faster weapon in hand, they would still have to wait 15 seconds for their axe's delay to expire). | |||
