This is definitely true though.

These guys sit in EC for like 16 hours a day buying every single item being auctioned for a reasonable price, then try to resell it for often DOUBLE OR EVEN TRIPLE what they payed.

It's well known that numerous people have duped plat among other things. Though with how big Uthgaard talks about finding the people who buy platinum with RMT, you'd think all the duped plat would be just as easy to track and to punish, yet you don't ever hear about dupers getting banned!
Stefen was a big time duper/officer of TR who got banned 2 weeks ago for duping. So the GMs do a fine job catching them.
