As a reference, 4/4/00 has a mention of aqualung having 50 charges and no one challenging it (was later nerfed to 20)

Post mentioning 5/13/2001 completing the wee harvester quest and it being 50 charges.

Eye of Melnor has a Feb 2002 mention of the item they had for 2 months in the bank had 23 charges but had 1 charge. Even when GM allegedly replaced it was still 1 charge. Matches the ZAM messgaes.

The aqualung remained 50 charges until reduced in a post timeline patch
