Is it possible to oppose both, or at least not understand, without being called a bigot immediately?
I want someone to explain why the state gets involved

No, not to the left
You are probably a bigot but you still don't even know what "the left" is

To collect and distribute taxes and provide services such as free Medicaid gender surgery.

They're sterilizing the poor, rob.

Health insurance and its relationship to our employers has always been about crushing the poor, but with extra steps

I say cover everything that doctors say is necessary for a patient's well being, no questions asked by any elected official

Medicaid isn't employer insurance.

No, but it's generally gonna be means tested, which makes it related to income.

In my state Medicaid completely covers everything, including multiple day hospital stays, cancer treatment, all forms of mental health treatment, and any medical issue I’ve ever heard of

No co-pays, no deductibles, and the most widely accepted insurance (more than Medicare and private insurance) because it pays so well and reliably

But believe whatever bullshit you want

In Texas, Medicaid covers nothing

Just kidding I have no idea, but I do know 30%ish of the state is uninsured
