Game Mechanics: 2H Melee Damage

I am using Rod of lamentatión atm,have polyphenomenal axe in bag.
Maybe is just in my mind but 2hb goes better than 2hs atm.
People will say bonus dmg change,since dmg bonus + max hit nerf...

Polyaxe pre-max hit chance + bonus dmg nerf = 190 double hits a lot of times

Polyaxe post-max hit chance + bonus dmg nerf = hit for 30-75 (95% of the times) and just max hit for 140.

That is like a 70% dmg lost for my paladin.

I feel like 2hb goes better,atm don´t know why because i am not a dmg parse gamer.
