Not sure how to patch the game for a missing file

Ok that worked. Copy and paste the whole DL to your P99 folder, overwriting all folders and files. I should've known this but its been 23 years.

Next problem...
Somewhere the sound got turned off.
After running the game, and clicking Accept, go to options and set sound on again. For me anyway.

Landyman - thanks for making this post and returning to say what worked for you. So many people don't do that and it helped me get back up and running quickly. Having the same sound issue but turning it back on (and verifying sound=TRUE in eqclient.ini) isn't working yet but hopefully i'll get that part figured.
