Its usefulness is going to top out around 14 I'd say.
It summons a lvl 12 fire pet. Great for making a newbie. Just do 1 point of dmg while pet does work. Great for caster PL. I got my druid 1-12 with one of these in maybe 2hrs? Might have been 1. Was fun as hell either way. | ||

I've PL'ed 3 chars this way. Depending on the class it does stay useful into 16ish. Basically, once the mobs it can kill turn green (around 16), it's just a DoT.
