It is I agree. Violent assaults do sometimes happen in public where bystanders just freeze in shock and do nothing, or at best just film it. At least filming it makes it more likely the perp gets caught, but it does little to stop the victim’s suffering in that moment
You and I never know how we will truly respond in such a situation, but we should affirm to ourselves that we won’t be part of that problem. If everyone had this ideology to put oneself in harm’s way to protect another, then there would be less need for personal self defense, but there will still alway be some need
