When it comes to dealing with an overweight population, I tend to go Communist dictator - destroy all fast food restaurants, nuke Monsanto and its corn empire™. High fructose corn syrup obliterated and its recipe scattered into a thousand pieces and thrown to the wind.

Any ingredient built to preserve food and keep profits high, but destroy humans will be nuked from orbit as well.
