Norman is it’s own thing, but I’d say it depends on where they hail from. If they’re Normans from England or Normans from Ireland or France, it makes a difference.

Normans typically come from northern France.

Northwest Europe was one big rape, conquer, repeat fest that all opposing factions basically became one.
