I also recommend 48 hr rolling fasts for weight loss, and a 48 hr fast once a week for cell senescence. I am turning 40 this year and people think I am in my 20s still.
While I am on that tangent. Nattokinase and Fisitin on an empty stomach 3 times a week before bed. Thank me when you are 90 and rollerblading.
Anyone who can do even a 24 hr fast I have a tremendous amount of respect for their willpower. I can barely do 16hrs and it’s miserable

WTG man, that’s a ton. Unless that wasn’t what you were going for. But putting weight back on is the funnest part if so

The field of oncology has come a long way even recently. Both my mom (breast) and my uncle (stage 4 prostate) cancer treatments were very effective and that was more than 5 years ago, both have been working full time since
It sure has. Nelarabine so far has been kind of a magic drug for her. Plus, there is this particular high-res scan they do to check for the blasocytes in the marrow, which wasn't a regular thing until about a year and a half ago, we were told. Regular scans and then a super deep scan, basically.

Out of about one million cells in her sample, 932 were blastocytes, which is still within remission parameters. Pretty cool.

The weight loss wasn't exactly deliberate, as my exercise level has certainly decreased, but I am not whining about that. I do intermittent fasting somewhat naturally, I almost never eat anything before noon if I am home, and rarely eat much after 8pm.

After your race it is something to consider. It is really difficult to do because of a combination of insulin resistance and gut bacteria controlling your ghrelin production, (hunger hormone).

Starting out, the best method is to eat normally, finish your dinner before 7pm, and then skip breakfast. Then eat lunch, and dinner the same way, That's normally a 16/8 split, and you actually start the benefits of autophagy at around 13 hours, so every day you are in a good window for a few hours at least.

You are in really good shape already, so it would be for the autophagy benefit in your case. You can get rid of a lot of old scar tissue by fasting. Its weird, but a lot of people who go 72+ hours will have old injury sites start to hurt like hell as your body scavenges itself.

I had a hard time at first, then when I had nothing to do for a weekend, I just went for it and played a shit ton of videogames/read a new book.

It peaks at 48 hours, holds until 72, then tapers off until five days, then it goes into overdrive and you start to produce new stem cells, and your entire digestive system will regenerate.

This is funny because its only been researched this last decade or so, but talked about forever in old religious communities(at least like a two day fast once a year)

A lot of good shit has come out recently, and its what I like, because I dont eat like a rabbit, or nibble once and a while. I like big freaking meals. I just eat once a day like goku after my workout, and I fast on the weekends. Effortless weight maitenance.

The whole "3 days a meal" is mostly just routine and social programming, since only rich people could eat all day. " 3 squares a day " ect.

I am pretty passionate about it since I am really into biology as a major and life extension has always been interesting to me.

Yep I agree with all of this. What makes it even more challenging for me is unfortunately I like weed, which always seems to add to hunger signals

Yea not only were the benefits of fasting recognized in ancient religious times, there has been a mountain of evidence to show its benefits recently

Eating a large meal and then going long stretches without was how our bodies were biologically built to survive, due to the need to travel, hunt, and/or forage for new food

I am from WA state so we have legal and high quality concentrate that will get you borked for days and eat a loaf of bread and hotsauce. (I've done it)

The trick for that is. Smoke all day and don't eat lol [You must be logged in to view images. So I've personally gone 72hrs, smoking dabs every 3-5 hours though chugging water the entire time.

No freaking idea why other states wont get on the bandwagon. We have a real business, selling traced stuff, that is organically farmed, and the state gets their cut. All the war on drugs money now goes to actual policing.

vs

some guy growing who knows what in his basement? Risking jail or prison to relax a bit? I do not miss that at all.

I did this once a week for several years because one of my really in shape friends got type 2 diabetes and that scared the shit out of me. It isn’t that hard if you put your mind to it. And I’m employed with 3 kids and a job, unlike alphys you just drugs himself into a stupor and doesn’t work

There are supposedly great hormone / anti-inflammatory benefits. It was weird though. Family is eating at the table and I’m sitting there twiddling my thumbs like the autist I am
