It's got a better ratio than almost every tradeable paladin 1hander and is also better dps than any ranger weapon I can think of in primary slot until lvl 46 or 49 when damage bonus takes over. It doesn't become worthless, just worth a lot less.

After reading all your comments I realized how silly the question was thanks for not trolling on me too hard.

Is wurmy still a good SK/Pally weapon after it becomes a main hand only weapon? Just wondering what to do with mine after the nerf, I don't see myself using it on a Warrior or Ranger anymore after it becomes main hand only.
It's still pretty good. It has the best ratio of any tradeable one-handed weapon except for the SK-only ones, and it's not terribly far behind MoSS. It has a better ratio than Sword of the Morning, although it lacks a proc. It's also a good deal cheaper than any of the SK twink 1h weapons, so if you can't afford those, Wurmy will do just fine. It's more of a ranger weapon, but it's good enough for especially paladins who don't have the luxury of Kunark's overpowered SK gear.

It certainly does not.

WS = 25/40 = .625
SM = 16/27 = .5926

Ratio is slightly better in WS favor. However, IIRC, isn't the the dmg bonus going to be the same for the two (at this point in server timeline) at a given level? So I can't imagine the WS beating out SotM even before you factor the 50ish DD proc in. WS also weighs 14 more.

The 5 str, svm, and ac really don't make up, IMO, especially at a similar price point.

SotM gets better once you have a damage bonus of 2 or 3. Wurmslayer is a twink weapon, it's specifically designed to not scale with faster weapons into the higher levels. Still doesn't change the fact that it has the best ratio of any tradeable one-hander outside of the SK ones, and it'll always have some value for that reason.

The SK/Pal's have access to some impressive (and quick) one handers. For DPS for Project 1999, 2H weapons is the name of the game.

The Wurm's look impressive and hit pretty hard. I think they will always be used by some (regardless of class) but value is going to be the issue.
