She thinks I waste time talking to any of you at all about anything, but she's perfectly aware of our personal pay gap. She told me not to go back to work, she likes me taking care of her through this crap. Who doesn't like having a personal assistant / cook?

It's like a appetizer for being elderly and retired!

Yeah, none of that bothers me except for the "be the wife" part because it implies that wives are empathetic and caring, and husbands are logical and pragmatic, and that the two roles are exclusive of these characteristics

When both can be all of these things

Fellas here with gf/wife: if she got a job offer where she was gonna make more than you, how would you react?

Assume you don't have to move or anything. Nothing otherwise changes about your daily life.
