chances are good, thankfully. they were asking for hardware donations etc
the goals of a classic eq will never be achieved while the players play so unclassicly, sort of has to suck

"Never" is a long time. Took a decade to get Green v1. Let's wait at least a half decade or so before worrying overmuch about Green v2's status.
