Gavin newsom is possibly the dumbest mother fucker alive and he’s fucked up high speed rail (my number 2 political issue, #1 is people stealing handicapped spots from the handicapped). DeathSantis is at least self made to some degree. I worry about the party around him more than his actual policies, though attacking Disney is authoritarian in the extreme

I am down for more high speed rail. I have been on the Shinkansen and I found it pretty impressive, as well as some of the fairly fast ones in the EU. I do little more with California neoliberal politics than roll my eyes and then enjoy hikes assuming the trail is not on fire

DeathSantis seems like the kinda guy that has pieces of Donnie and Mike, but he just doesn't seem to have the charisma score. I also admit I have never watched him speak and never will, I am going on pure vibes here.

American gestalt vibes tell me not to trust any perceived love lost between Donnie and Ronnie, though. I could see Trump picking him as a VP even if neither of them say it would work that way. I certainly don't trust the takes of their supporters, those folks don't understand a cardboard box unless it includes diagrams
