Conservative beliefs and defense of capitalism are incompatibile with Christian ones. Neither one of you can speak for God. This is why we have the first amendment and we don’t try to find the correct path like the Byzantine empire used to. They had a centuries long struggle over Iconography because factions differed in whether the nation could find favor with God by having or banning icons.
