Dwarves and Dragons is the most common way people go, since you can just kill giants to raise both, also Dragon faction gear is generally considered the "best". Another advantage of this route is that you can bank in both Thurgadin and Skyshrine, and various high end guilds will often do faction pulls in Kael where they pull several giants and anyone can tag them for the faction hits.
