So if we go back to Wild West revolvers, I’ve seen some cowboy movies where a cowboy “fans” the back of the gun’s lever with his other hand to shoot rapidly, making it seem almost as fast as a semi-automatic

Would that be cool or should we ban that? No gun fanning? Or is the decrease in potential accuracy a decent trade off?

Restrict technology not technique. I forget the word for a good shooter, gunslinger?

Or if we just culturally go back to Wild West days in all areas, school shootings also disappear

I look damn cool in a cowboy hat, not a huge fan of horses though

If the untrained or inexperienced have less access to a technological crutch, it'll reduce the lethality of both crazy punks and uh...people who hold their guns sideways. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

So it was racism. Sorry you live in a place where the participants suck at the game.

I think a dude in a locked classroom with a full hour given to him by highly incompetent police to kill 30 kids could do it with 2 revolvers

He could probably do it with a knife. I think most psychos could do it with their bare hands. First 5 minutes inside: locate makeshift clubbing weapon. Switch arms when one gets tired and pace oneself, utilize the full hour. That kinda thing [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Is that the usual circumstance?

I imagine two very common, more influential than the type of gun, factors when it comes to casualty counts are

1. Are all exits blocked by the killer

And

2. Police response time and method

Going on a hike

My suggestion: ban the means to block people’s escape routes from buildings. Can’t shoot fish in a barrel without a barrel
