Fixed, pending update

The only question I have about this is whether or not they existed since launch, or were added in 2000 like this one comment suggests:
Quote:
Socho and Mannan DO exist They are simply named gnolls in Blackburrow . Nothing more. They were implemented at about the same time as the Splitpaws were.
The way it is now, they spawn from day 1. If further evidence is found either way, let me know!

For what it is worth I killed Mannan of the Sabertooth just now on live, still spawns.

Level: 13
Total HP: 375 (forgot to check if he was buffed, there was a gnoll shaman in the room)
Loot:
Raw-Hide Leggings
Turquoise
Blackburrow Gnoll Pelt
Gnoll Fang
9 Silver and 8 Copper

Standard engage message for gnolls, no death message.

Forgot to sit to check his max hit :-/

Looks like Mannan of the Sabertooth, Socho Darkpaw, Splitpaw Commander, and Refugee Splitpaw were added in the Sept 19, 2000 patch (nothing specific mentioned).

I saw him when a level 20 mage started a huge train. He is called Manann of the Sabertooths and looks like a normal splitpaw gnoll but a little bigger and as far as level goes I think he had to be about the same as Tranixx(17-20).

2 New spawns in Blackburrow
By: Anonymous

There seems to be 2 new spawns in Blackburrow. A Splitpaw Commander and A Splitpaw Refugee. The Splitpaw Refugee drops a Runed Totem Staff. The Splitpaw Commander drops a gnoll hide lariat. I don't know the level of the refugee, but the commander is about lvl 15 to 16 I think. High blue to a lvl 17 Ranger. I don't know what lvl the refugee is, but he did drop the RTS. The commander spawns in the elite room and also the room behind the brewer casks. Sorry I don't have much more info than that, hope this helps.

There is also a named gnoll I have never seen before in there. He has less than 282 hit points and he is called Socho Darkpaw. He did not respond to hails. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I was in blackburrow last night right after the patch and was killing things ( i am lvl 35 and i was bored). i went to green room and there was this baddy, so i killed him thinking something good would loot, but nadda. Hits for around 22. He is not that common ( spawned twice in like 4-5 hours). Not sure on lvl, was green with around 4-500 hp

First of all i was really suprised when I saw this named gnoll and as previous post I killed him (green to me at lvl 19), he took some heavy beating using root and Smithe.
No fun drop though, a few gold.

hehe he looks just like a normal gnoll and no special drops so he is not worth camping (unless u are just camping to kill a named gnoll or if u just hunt for exp and he spawns.

I just battled this guy last night...strange to find this Split Paw in Black Burrow. But I guess their tunnels roam all over the place underground.

The Slpit Paw Commanders were just introduced with the patch and so far i got 3 lariats in about half an hour, they seem to drop it every time.

It appears that there have been some new gnolls
added in the patch from yesterday. I was there
last night and saw a Splitpaw gnoll, called a
refugee gnoll.
I conned him and he was red to an
11th monk. I am fairly well equipped and decided
to try because he was beating some newbie hard.
He was a caster and hit pretty good. He never
got a spell off with my 1hb hitting him so much
so I don't know what spell he could cast. Once
dead I looted an RTS which I gave to a rogue that
helped me towards the end as it was too heacy for
me to carry. Not sure of level but based on the
fact that I could almost solo him and his hp I would
estimate he was around 13-14. Got a screen shot
but I am posting from work, I will post it when I
can.
