So I wasn't very active around this particular time, therefore thess are serious questions:

Didn't the period where DA picked up a bunch of spawns coincide with the the period immediately following 2 splinter guilds forming out of IB, thusly splitting their members and leadership three ways? Didn't DA stop getting most spawns pretty much as soon as IB rebuilt? Even more so once TR was formed? Isn't this true despite the numbers advantage that the 3? 4? mergers/absorptions DA underwent gave them?

Funny how that happened like that?

I find it funny that people argue skill based on the ability to wake up at 4am est, after merging with a euro guild.

replace 'wiping' with 'sprinting, half buffed, with the random smattering of people online that moment towards the raid MOB trying to get FTE".

Lets please stop pretending if some half-assed rotation was in place one of the top 10 guilds on the server isn't going to down any raid target their slated for.

And no, lets not even talk about any kind of a rotation, just using it as a basic measuring stick of 'oh look mob is up and we have 40 people, mob is going to die'.

If there's a food drop in some 3rd world country, the first couple dozen people to tear open the care package aren't the only ones who know how to eat.

If people are looking to honestly answer the question of 'zomg why do people hate us?" it's not that you beat people to mobs, kill the mobs, etc.. Thats the product of having a good crew, good mobilization and good tactics.

The 'angered' factor comes from ya'll inferring that you kill raid mob XYZ because no one else has the ability to do so. It's a stupid misconception that stems back to the real 1999... when 95% of the people on any given server were making tailored backpacks, fishing waiting for a boat, holding roleplay wedding and doing godknowswhatelse while it took them 3 years to hit level 40. And there *was* only one or two guilds on most servers the first couple years that had 30 people who could even find VS's lair.. or make it from blackburrow to permafrost to even be in the same zone as vox (lol), etc... And i'm pretty dang sure we *all* know that 9 out of 10 people on this server is people who made up that l337 5% who actually figured the game out early, excelled, and want to relive their former glory.

If you get 7 out of 10 raid targets, that's wonderful. Congo rats. We're thrilled for you, really. All we ask is you don't prance around in game and on the forums treating the rest of the world like we're some mongoloid from 10 years past who spends their time on the server turning in their tome of discord to the PoD, repeatedly attacking our guildmaster, and running mail deliveries for the league of antonican bards between Kaladim and Kelethin like we're Kevin Costner in "The Postman" trying in vain to achieve level 5.

Because you damn well know it ain't true.

Well I wasn't specifically talking about that. We've wiped with similar numbers.

No one is saying EQ takes skill. However, a big part of being a capable player and raider in the game is being knowledgeable and prepared. TMO ran in and engaged trak half cocked before they had the force to take it down and wiped. You essentially went into an event that you yourself claim is trivial and wiped. Even though we had more players online than you when he spawned, we waited until we knew we had the force to kill him. Draw what conclusions from that you want as far as the notions of skill, knowledge, and ability are concerned.

Also, if you could adapt your humanitarian food drop analogy to the most recent Trak I think it might help me understand it better. Not sure how you can fail at something that you yourself compared to being as simple as eating.

Every raiding guild in the history of Everquest is guilty of this. Give me a fucking break. TR sure as fuck doesn't wait for more players to log on when they wipe to Gorenaire with NO OTHER RAID FORCE EVEN IN THE ZONE and no competition whatsoever. What does that make them? A guild full of unknowledgeable unprepared full blown fucking retards? No. Saying you are more knowledgeable and more prepared than any other guild here is just stupid. TR has wiped to every raid mob they have ever tried at least once. TMO has wiped to every raid mob they have ever tried at least once. (Insert guild here) has wiped to every raid mob they have tried at least once.

Look at the fails to Trakanon right AFTER Kunark came out on this server and before damage was fixed. Wiping with fucking High End Velious/Luclin era type weapon damage. Laughable.

You can take your knowledgeable and preparedness bullshit and just throw that right out the window.
