again why is selling/trading accounts legal? all it does is ruin the server economy and definitely isnt classic. fucking two boxing is more classic than mass selling accounts.

I understand why you'd say this, but realistically accounts bought/sold for plat do not at all cause fluxuation on the value of anything, including in game currency.

Classic/kunark - 1999-2001. I'd guess 10% of the entire Live population had 2 PCs, and more to the point I'd guess less than 1% had 2 dial-up connections to support this, or cable/dsl ancestors of some sort.

As much as i agree with this quote, it is what it is at this piont. your not going to be able to reverse this because its already started. My thoughts on this were purley based on on logic of peoples thoughts regarding reputation.

Selling accounts is very classic, why do you think it ruins the economy?

I believe it is "legal" he so it can be some what regulated. You are only allowed to sell toons for plat and not RMT. If they said no more selling for PP i would imagine it would bolster 3rd party sites built to accommodate selling and further the real problem of RMT. I am under the impression RMT has implications with Sony and could create issue with intellectual property.

- Silentone,

When you buy an account associated with a moron you are now consider to be that moron. Sure you could spend a lot of effort letting everyone know you are a new owner. Some people would rather just buy another character and stay under the radar. Either way its only fair to let the buyer know what they are getting into. In this case the main LOL was the price, It apears a surcharge was added when a discount should have been.

Simply put it widens the gap for the guy just starting fresh on the server in terms of gear and affordability.

It also ruins the server community as well. More people buying/trading accounts = less to group and level with. Also being able to dump your bad rep accounts for enough to fully twink a brand new character gives you more of an incentive to be an asshole and not give a shit. Thats all I can come with off the top of my head at work.

Not gonna lie Im a little butthurt that 2boxing is considered bannable and selling/trading accounts isnt so I may have ulterior motives for my rants.

I empathize (I wanted to be able to powerlevel myself) - but practically, I think allowing 2boxing would cause far more damage than selling/trading counts.

Buying accounts doesn't give some massive advantage to a single player that everyone else has to try to meet (i.e. people 2-boxing certain camps, etc...). In other words, if one person 2boxed legitimately (if it was allowed), about 40% of the server would start doing it.

Buying/Selling accounts is relatively innocuous.
