I thought it had, but I just asked chat GPT and it filled me up with propaganda about how fantastic the economy is and how great everything is working out.

Capitalist Monopoly money (bitcoin) is worth more than the economy of most nations.

Bitcoin's market capitalization stands at approximately $1.96 trillion USD. To put this into perspective, Russia's GDP was estimated to be around $1.78 trillion USD for the year 2023.

(things will change when Mohammed bin Salman is sitting on the throne of the worlds caliphate though) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

what % of the coins are "dead" or w/e though to come up with that number.

A 2023 report from Unchained Capital, a Bitcoin financial services company, estimated that up to 3.8 million bitcoins have been lost. That's out of a total of about 19.8 million in existence today, and a maximum supply of 21 million tokens when Bitcoin is fully mined
so 3.8 million "lost" i assume they aren't counting the "Nakamoto owns 600,000 to 1.1 million Bitcoin tokens." coins or others that just haven't moved a wallet in forever or 10+ years.
